The issue is likely lint or stuff that’s clogged down there, that’s why it’s working but not just not a big flame. Amazon got these electric ones now that are like mini leaf blowers, super strong, highly recommend them. If that don’t work, Gotta duster can? Blow it thru there. It lights up, tilt it so it’s almost horizontal, this is how you make the flame bigger normally. It’ll likely get stolen from me anywayįirst I’d grab a working lighter, hold it one hand and the one you’re cleaning in the other, hold down the gas button on the one you’re cleaning, and with the other lighter try jump starting it. I’d rather buy 16 regular ones for that much. Amazon sells an all metal one, pretty fancy looking, cones in a metal case but it’s like $20. There are peeps out there with collections of these things. If I didn’t lose them or they’d get stolen I’ve have quite a collection. That’s bout it for maintenance on these things, they’re great lighters, my oldest one is bout 2 years old, just a normal one I bought out of a 4 pack I get for $5.50. Saw a listing on eBay for a bag full of flint, prolly thousands in there, enough for a lifetime I think, it was only $10. I save old bic lighters that ran out of gas or ask my friends for theirs, have a couple that save them for me and grab them when I see them it’s usually weekly anyway. If you’re getting good gas, but it just won’t ignite, then you’ll prolly need a new flint. If you push down the gas button you should hear a strong stream of gas coming from it, if you don’t then it’s likely clogged so try the rubbing alcohol. Seems like issues related to them not working or small flame are bcuz the nozzles are clogged. Hope it helps, flame on!Īwesome, it also helps those Clippers w/ tiny flames. I use up both sides of the qtip and that should be enough cleaning to get it up running like normal again. The alcohol helps clean/break that nasty buildup up and it should work just like when you bought it. I think the small flame is cuz of the flint residue building up and blocks sufficient gas from expelling, making the flame tiny. Anyway, got sidetracked there, when my Clippers start having the tiny flame syndrome, I just take a qtip dip it in 91% rubbing alcohol and clean the insides by the nozzle where the flame comes out of, it’ll be pretty nasty with all the flint residue and whatever was stuck inside your pockets, make sure you get some of that alcohol down inside the nozzle. Funk that I get them at Freddys for $5.50, that includes tax for the 4 pack. The smoke shops I’ve seen only sell them individually, but want like $2.99/each. I usually get the 4 packs, here in Seattle only Fred Meyers sells these packs. They used to go forever before any sort of trouble shooting needed but finding myself doing this even a couple weeks of a new one. Not sure why but the newer Clippers seem to develop issues a lot sooner than the older ones. Guess I’m a lil late to the party but just wanted to say this cuz it helped a lot for me.
